Man shot 3 times in Perry South section of Pittsburgh's North Side
A man was shot three times Thursday morning in the Perry South section of Pittsburgh’s North Side, police said.
Shortly after 10 a.m., authorities received a ShotSpotter alert followed by 911 calls reporting that a man had been shot in the 500 block of Chester Avenue, Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz said.
Police later learned that the man was driven to a nearby hospital by private means. He suffered three gunshot wounds to his lower body, police said.
Officials did not release his identity or provide further details.
No arrests have been made.
“There are no suspects at this time,” Cruz said.
Police continue to investigate.
