Harrison police say they confiscated $25,000 worth of cocaine and $7,000 in cash from a residence in the township’s Natrona neighborhood.

Two Harrison residents were jailed on drug charges after police discovered more than $25,000 worth of cocaine in a home along North Canal Street.

Police Chief Mike Klein said officers were responding to a disturbance call Thursday in the township’s Natrona section when they found resident Jervon Faison.

He told police he fought off three men who, he said, broke into his home and attempted to rob him with handguns that evening, Klein said.

But Klein noted that Faison did not report the break-in. Rather, a neighbor called to report a disturbance. Klein said the responding officers said a door to the home obviously have been kicked in and the residence showed signs of a scuffle inside.

When officers followed up on the home investigation report Friday, Klein said, they detected what they described as “an overwhelming odor of marijuana” emanating from within the home.

Klein said police obtained a search warrant and found nearly 10 ounces of cocaine, a scale, marijuana and about $7,000 in cash in Faison’s residence.

Faison, 45, and Kaleena Woody, 36, who also lives at the house, are charged with possession of controlled substances, possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy.

They were transported to the Allegheny County Jail. No further information was available.
