The following are excerpts from the Stow police log from Monday, May 18, to Sunday, May 31. The log is public record and available for review. All persons are presumed innocent unless found guilty in a court of law.

Monday, May 18

10:18 a.m.: Identity theft was reported.

10 p.m.: A suspicious vehicle was reported in the small parking lot of Butternut Golf Course on Gleasondale Road. The area search was negative.

Tuesday, May 19

8:08 a.m.: Roadkill was reported at Taylor and Packard roads.

9:47 a.m.: A resident reported a scam.

5:34 p.m.: A past assault was reported at Stow Acres Country Club on Randall Road.

Wednesday, May 20

1:44 p.m.: An animal stuck in a fence was reported on South Acton Road.

11:54 p.m.: A suspicious vehicle was reported at Harvard and Delaney roads. Police spoke with the driver and passenger. No issues were found.

Thursday, May 21

11:21 a.m.: An officer reported an individual ran from him on Track Road. The area search was negative.

11:51 a.m.: A low-hanging Verizon wire was reported on Sandy Brook Drive.

1:26 p.m.: A White Pond Road resident reported a vehicle she did not recognize parked in front of her house. The owner was just visiting the cemetery across the street.

1:32 p.m.: A Taylor Road resident reported a snake stuck in her duck enclosure.

3:42 p.m.: A dog was reported walking on the side of the road at Boon Road and Whitman Street.

8:45 p.m.: An aircraft was reported flying extremely low in the area of Boxboro Road. A caller stated he was concerned as to why the aircraft was so low and didn’t believe it was allowed to fly that low over town. Police directed the caller to contact the Federal Aviation Administration.

Friday, May 22

12:10 p.m.: A caller on Edgehill Road reported she was trying to get personal items from the place where she has been living, but the individual there would not let her and began threatening her.

12:40 p.m.: A man and woman were reported in a vehicle possibly smoking marijuana on Lantern Lane.

12:56 p.m.: A possibly injured raccoon was reported on Maple Street.

1:21 p.m.: A Harvard Road resident reported her neighbor was building a fence on her property. The resident stated her lawyer was filing legal action, but she wanted the complaint logged.

2:02 p.m.: A Gleasondale Road resident reported a yellow Lab with a broken rope in her yard.

2:39 p.m.: A caller reported an incident involving a dog bite on Circuit Drive.

Saturday, May 23

12:51 p.m.: A caller reported observing police with their cruisers parked at the callers home. The caller requested the incident be logged.

4:17 p.m.: Police reported assisting a citizen concerned about officer conduct. After about six calls from the same person, the individual talked multiple times about speaking with his lawyer about police conduct and town policies. Police reported the last call involved the individual requesting a dispatcher’s badge number, stating his lawyer needed it because of an infraction of the Freedom of Information Act.

5:58 p.m.: A caller on Red Acre Road reported a possible stolen package.

9:30 p.m.: A collision between a vehicle and deer was reported on Great Road.

Sunday, May 24

1:16 p.m.: A dead deer was reported on the side of Great Road.

5:37 p.m.: A caller requested police assistance for a past altercation on her husband.

6:37 p.m.: A caller from Hudson reported a loud party in Stow.

Monday, May 25

4:34 p.m.: A caller reported a phone scam.

Tuesday, May 26

9:56 a.m.: A caller reported fraud.

6:44 p.m.: Two suspicious vehicles were reported on the wildlife refuge at Sudbury and Lakewood roads. The area search was negative.

Wednesday, May 27

12:27 a.m.: A 911 caller on Gates Lane reported multiple taps on their window. The area search was negative.

10:02 a.m.: A sick-looking baby raccoon was reported at Brookside Cemetery on Gleasondale Road. Police reported the raccoon did not appear to be sick.

12:54 p.m.: A Jeep was reported speeding back and forth on Track Road. A verbal warning was given.

7:11 p.m.: A caller reported two loose dogs on the walking path. The caller was calling from Stow, Vermont.

8:44 p.m.: Suspicious activity was reported at Infinite Automotive on Great Road.

9:01 p.m.: A suspicious vehicle was reported on Great Road. The driver was asked to leave and left the area.

10:17 p.m.: A large tree branch was reported in the roadway at Crescent Street and West Acton Road.

Thursday, May 28

3:08 p.m.: A caller reported her debit card was compromised and that unauthorized charges were made on it.

5:15 p.m.: A solicitor was reported walking around Peabody Drive unregistered and not wearing a mask. The area search was negative.

8:15 p.m.: A Warren Road resident reported an unknown person banging on her door and trying to get in. Police reported the individual in question was at the wrong apartment and meant to go to a friend’s apartment.

Friday, May 29

10:20 a.m.: Evidence of vehicle burnouts was reported on Sudbury Road.

1:34 p.m.: A caller reported many of her accounts were hacked and the passwords changed.

2:20 p.m.: A caller reported an unemployment claim was filed fraudulently in his name.

3:13 p.m.: A dog in the roadway was reported on Taylor Road. The owner took possession of the dog prior to animal control’s arrival.

4:58 p.m.: Two baby raccoons were reported on the side of Brookside Avenue.

Saturday, May 30

10:59 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash was reported on Great Road.

4:19 p.m.: Multiple callers reported a man with no shirt yelling and threatening people near the Gleasondale Road bridge. Police gave the individual a ride home.

8:36 p.m.: Possible fireworks were reported on Boxboro Road. The area search was negative.

8:39 p.m.: A caller reported teenagers having a bonfire at Town Beach on Sudbury Road.

Sunday, May 31

5:23 a.m.: A caller reported someone camping on his property near the Gleasondale Road bridge. The individual left before police arrived.

11:09 a.m.: A caller reported unemployment benefits fraud.

12:31 p.m.: Downed wires were reported on Harvard Road.

3:47 p.m.: A possibly intoxicated individual was reported causing a disturbance on Sudbury Road. The area search was negative.

10:18 p.m.: A 911 caller on Gates Lane reported a light shining on her house that she believed was coming from a person. Police checked the area.
