RI reports 176 new cases, 1 death in past three days

The Rhode Island Department of Health on Monday reported 176 new cases of the coronavirus and one additional death since it last released data on Friday.

The total number of positive cases has risen to 19,934 and the total number of deaths stands at 1,015.

The state said there were 28 new cases Sunday, 74 on Saturday, and 74 on Friday.

The Department of Health said 93 people were being treated in the hospital for COVID-19, with eight in the ICU and two on ventilators.
