A family from Riverside, Rhode Island, had a surprise Thursday morning for "Today" show meteorologist Dylan Dreyer.
The Buckley family appeared in the virtual #MyTodayPlaza with their 1-year-old daughter -- Dylan.
"When we were expecting, we'd been watching Dylan on TV for a long time, ever since she was in Boston, and when we sort of heard the name we knew that it would be perfect for us," Alex Buckley said. "Thank you, Dylan, for giving us the inspiration."
"Oh my goodness!" Dreyer exclaimed.
"They named the baby after you," anchor Craig Melvin chimed in.
"I might actually cry," Dreyer said. "That is so sweet. There are not enough girl Dylans in the world."
The Buckleys thanked Dreyer for being a role model for their baby.
Before working in Boston and ultimately the "Today" show, Dreyer was a meteorologist at NBC 10.
