Rhode Island was removed Tuesday from the coronavirus travel advisory for New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

The three states added Rhode Island to their common advisory last week because of the rising number of coronavirus cases.

Removal from the list means that travelers from Rhode Island to the tri-state area are no longer subject to a voluntary 14-day quarantine.

Alaska, New Mexico, Ohio and Washington were also taken off the list. Hawaii, South Dakota and the Virgin Islands were added to it.

New York, New Jersey and Connecticut said the travel advisory lists 31 states and two territories as of Tuesday.
