Warm nights are always fleeting and there are a few very special events including a picnic in black, a nationally recognized bar crew returning for a night of fancy drinks, and an evening with the top women of Minneapolis’ cocktail scene throwing a gorgeous party to raise money for an important cause. These are the top pop-ups happening right now.

Queens of Cocktails Takeover Tattersall

What: Anne Clifford, Megan Luedtke and Katy Dimick are the Queens’ Cocktail Club, three powerhouse talents in the local bartending scene come together for an evening of gorgeous cocktails for a worthy cause. This time the Queens are taking over Tattersall Distilling and pouring botanical drinks made with sustainable ingredients. For every drink sold $2 will be donated to Planned Parenthood.

Where: Tattersall 1620 Central Avenue, Northeast Minneapolis

When: Sunday August 18, 6 pm to 10 pm

Why it’s worth your dollars: This is one for the cocktail fans, and anyone that’s ever needed and/or affordable medical care.

Death & Co Returns to Constantine

What: For two nights the premier cocktail masters from New York and Denver’s Death & Co bar are returning to Constantine. The crew visisted last year and the result were fantastic drinks and lines out the door to get inside the subterranean tippling lounge. Plan to arrive early or late for space at the bar, and watch the masters work.

Where: Constantine, 1115 2nd Avenue South, Minneapolis

When: August 30 and 31, 6 pm to 1 am

Why it’s worth your dollars: These guys literally wrote the book on cocktails and entry to the bar is free.

Dinner en Noir

What: A new local picnic answer to the annual Dinner en Blanc, where people haul all their goods into a secret location to host a communal picnic. This one is the same deal, but everyone where’s black and it’s likely to be way less sweltering outside.

Where: Somewhere outside. Join the Facebook group and be notified an hour before the event.

When: September 28, 6 pm

Why It’s Worth Your Dollars: Anyone who loves a fancy outside picnic and has the all dark outfits at the ready.
