Haj 2019 Flight Schedule Kerala: The Hajj Committee of India on Saturday released the flight schedule of Haj pilgrims who will be performing Hajj in 2019 from Kerala. The Haj pilgrims from Kerala will embark on their Haj pilgrimage from Calicut and Cochin two embarkation points.
According to the Hajj Flight Schedule 2019 released by the Haj Committee of India, the first Haj flight carrying the pilgrims from Kerala will take off from Calicut International Airport on July 07, 2019.
On the other hand, the first flight from Cochin (Kochi) embarkation point will be on July 14, 2019.
The last Haj flight from Calicut airport will be on July 10, 2019 whereas the last Haj flight from Cochin airport will be on July 17, 2019.
The first return flight for the Keral Haj Pilgrims will be August 17, 2019 from Saudi Arabia to Calicut. The first return flight from Saudi Arabia to Cochin will be on August 29, 2019.
Pilgrims going to Saudi Arabia for Haj this year can check their flight schedule by entering cover no on the Hajj Committee of India website. The Haj Committee of India will soon send letters and emails to inform the haj pilgrims about their flight date, time and other details. Pilgrims will also receive SMS from Haj Committee of India.
Pilgrims from India will travel to Makkah for Hajj 2019 from 22 Embarkation Points in 21 cities.
The Haj Committee of India has divided the 22 Haj Embarkation Points in 02 Laps. While the first Lap consists of 10 Embarkation Points, the second Lap consists of 12 Embarkation Points.
The 10 Haj Embarkation Points in the First Lap are: Bangalore, Calicut, Cochin, Delhi, Gaya, Goa, Guwahati, Mangalore, Mumbai and Srinagar.
The 12 Haj Embarkation Points in the Second Lap are: Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bhopal, Chennai Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Ranchi and Varanasi.
A total of 200,000 pilgrims will embark for Haj 2019 from India this year. India earlier had a quota of 175,000 pilgrims. Its quota was increased by 25000 during Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman's visit to India in February this year.
Kerala has a Muslim population of 88,73,472 and has been allocated a quota of 11,472. The state also got some additional seats in the wake of increase in quota and due to vacant seats in some states.
Pilgrims from ALAPPUZHA, ERANAKULAM, IDUKKI, KASARAGOD, KOLLAM, KOZHIKODE, KANNUR, KOTTAYAM, MALAPPURAM, PALAKKAD, PATHANAMTHITTA, THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, THRISSUR, AGATTI ISLAND, AMINI, ANDROTT, BITRA, CHETLAT, KADAMAT ISLAND, KALPENI, KAVARATTI, KILTAN, MINICOY, IDUKKI and Mahe districts of KERALA, LAKSHADWEEP and PUDUCHERRY will embark for Haj from Cochin and Calicut airports.
Coinciding with Eid al Adha, Haj is the annual ritual to commemorate the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim, his wife Hager and their son Prophet Ismael. The likely date of Wuqoof e Arafat - the key ritual of the Hajj, is August 09 or 10. As the Islamic calendar is based on sighting of moon, the final date will be decided once the new moon of the month of Dhul Hijjah is sighted.
