McKINNEY, Texas - The University of New Orleans concluded day one of 2019 Southland Conference Championship in Stonebridge Ranch Country Club with a 316. The Privateers finished ninth after 18 rounds, led by
Max Hellstrom's four-over par 76. UNO is two strokes away from tying for seventh.
Hellstrom birdied three holes to pace the Privateers.
Grayson Gilbert shot a 78 and
Ulisses de Toledo Junior followed with an 80. Gilbert regrouped with an even in the back-nine. Junior began as one of the Southland's leaders with a one-under par through the front-nine.
Southeastern Louisiana University's Joris Eltin leads all individuals with a one-under par through the opening round. Lamar University is the team leader at 301 (+13).

The schedule has been altered due to weather in the area. The final two rounds will be played Tuesday.
