MILWAUKEE COUNTY – The International Staff Band, The Salvation Army’s finest instrumental ensemble, is coming to Milwaukee for its first time on Thursday, September 19.

The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Marcus Center’s Uihlein Hall, 929 N Water St. in Milwaukee.

The band, comprised of brass and percussion players from the London, England area, will perform a wide variety of music; from marches to movie scores, and arrangements of simple hymn tunes of the church to scintillating concert items written especially for the band.

“While the band has performed for Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace numerous times, are frequent performers at the world famous Royal Albert Hall in London and have toured the capitals of the world, this is the band’s first ever visit to Milwaukee,” said Major Steve Merritt, the Divisional Commander for The Salvation Army of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. “You will not want to miss this once in a lifetime musical event.”

Tickets are free but must be reserved through the Marcus Center Box Office in person at 929 N. Water St., or by calling (414) 273-7206.
