Freed’s Bakery Brings Wedding Cake Slices to Summerlin Soon

Since 1959, Freed’s Bakery has been a go-to name in Las Vegas for patisseries and cakes, and now its latest expansion is promising a debut very soon.

Only shared back in August, Freed’s is announcing it will open the doors to its Summerlin dessert shop by the end of October, just in time to serve up its annual Halloween-themed treats.

The self-proclaimed team of “cake astronauts, sugar tamers, [and] pastry welders” will move into a 1,400-square-foot former Total Nutrition store at The Shoppes at Canyon Pointe retail center, near the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Pavilion Center Drive, and a few doors down from Bowlology.

The bakery, which appears in the Food Network’s Vegas Cakes, plans to be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily and from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Joining its one-year-old Centennial expansion and a smaller counter at the T-Mobile Arena, custom cakes can be ordered at the Summerlin store and will be created at the company’s 8,500-square-foot flagship bakery on Eastern Avenue.
