For the last dozen years, it’s been “all about the buttercream” at Retro Bakery’s storefront in Centennial, but owner Brian Haskell and his team are now counting down the days until they relocate to Summerlin.

Retro Bakery will depart its 1,000-square-foot location at the intersection of El Capitan Way and Durango Drive on November 30, heading 15 miles south to a 1,112-square-foot former dentist’s office. The bakery sits between a Papa John’s Pizza and a Subway at 10217 W. Charleston Boulevard in the Auto Care Plaza with Vintner Grill across the street. The bakery warns owners of gift cards and reward points to cash in before the end of the month.

Retro Bakery promises that the new home will feature “some surprises, and new offerings we can’t wait to unveil,” including a new tagline that promotes “your local cake & frozen yogurt shoppe.” Frozen custard joins the extremely popular cupcake roster including Hopscotch, milk and cookies, and Red Carpet, plus Retro expands its menu of creative, custom-ordered special occasion cakes.

The bakery hopes to be up and running by December 1, but future business hours have not been announced.
