A powerful cold front is pushing across the U.S. bringing the coldest temperatures so far this season for millions of Americans.

Snow on the backside of the system is stretching south of Memphis!

When the moisture gets to Columbia, and the rest of the Midlands, it will be too warm to see any snow or wintry mix. Temperatures will drop from the 50s to the 40s throughout the day.

Rain will be pushing in during the morning commute from northwest to southeast. It will push out of our area by late afternoon and early evening.

The farther east you live, the later the rain will start, but the longer it will stick around into the evening.

Temperatures will drop quickly behind the front Tuesday night heading into Wednesday morning. With the breeze it will feel especially cold. Most of our area will have wind chills in the teens by commute time Wednesday morning.

Even though Tuesday will be wet and relatively mild, think ahead for Wednesday morning.

Take care of your outdoor spigots, bring plants and pets inside. Wednesday is going to be a bit of a shock to the system!
