Punjab, Haryana Likely to Experience Dense Fog

Later this week, several parts of Punjab and Haryana may get rain and dense fog, the Met department said on Sunday. Officials predicted rainfall over both states from Wednesday, February 6 to Friday, February 8. Heavy rainfall is expected on February 7.

The weather continued to be chilly in the region on Sunday, with maximum temperatures hovering between 18 and 22 degrees at most places. The minimum temperatures recorded on Sunday ranged from 3 to 10 degrees at various places.

Several parts of Punjab and Haryana experienced dense fog on Sunday morning. Road and rail traffic was affected due to the fog in both states.

The Sikh holy city of Amritsar recorded a high of 21.4°C and a low of 5.7°C. Patiala and Ludhiana recorded highs of 21 and 22.7°C, respectively. Ambala and Bhiwani towns in Haryana recorded highs of 18.3 and 18.6°C, respectively. Chandigarh recorded a high of 20.6°C and minimum temperature of 8.2°C.
