Friday

A western disturbance (WD) and its induced cyclonic circulation over north India is likely to bring ‘moderate to heavy’ snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh,Chattisgarh, Bihar, and Jharkhand are likely to experience ‘moderate to heavy’ rains along with thunderstorms. Isolated rain with thunderstorms is likely over eastern Rajasthan eastern Vidharbha, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal. Assam will also receive isolated rains, according to the forecast.

Due to the convergence of winds, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands will experience isolated rain along with thunderstorms.

Dry and fair weather conditions are forecast to prevail over the rest of the country.

Maximum temperatures will be lower than normal over Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Night-time temperatures will be +4°C to +8°C 'warmer than normal' in central, southern, eastern, and northeastern India.

Air qualities will be ‘poor or very poor’ over the country, especially in major cities.

Northern, central, eastern, southern and northeastern India will be covered by a dense fog.
