Saturday - Nationwide Forecast
The monsoon trough passes through Rajasthan, Centre of the Well Marked Low Pressure Area, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, and east central Bay of Bengal.
The aforementioned Well Marked Low Pressure Area is located over the border between Rajasthan and Gujarat. Attention to some heavy spells of rain will be required in Gujarat, at least for the next 24 hours.
As the Low and its associated Cyclonic Circulation moves westward, rainfall in Gujarat will get milder, but rainfall across Konkan region to Kerala will linger due to continuous moist westerly winds from the Arabian Sea. Total rainfall between 50-100 mm will be seen in this region until Sunday morning.
On Saturday, heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected over Gujarat. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely over coastal Maharashtra, Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms are likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Scattered rain and thunderstorms are possible over Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, interior Maharashtra, interior Karnataka, Punjab, Chandigarh, and Uttar Pradesh.
Lastly, isolated rain and thunderstorms are expected over Haryana, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Sunday and Beyond - Nationwide Forecast
Rainfall in Eastern and Northeastern India, which has been declining over the past few days, is likely to increase from this weekend to the beginning of next week due to a forming Cyclonic Circulation over north Bay of Bengal.
Rainfall and thunderstorms in Northern and Central foothill will continue, albeit while changing its intensity due to the wind convergence.

- Heavy rain and thunderstorms: Gujarat, coastal Maharashtra, Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Mizoram and Tripura.
- Fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms: Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
- Scattered rain and thunderstorms: Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh.
- Isolated rain and thunderstorms: Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, interior Maharashtra, interior Karnataka, Haryana, Delhi, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
