Saturday - Nationwide Forecast
Bulbul traveling northeast along Eastern India is already in a downward trend, but expected to keep the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm intensity until it has reached Mouths of the Ganges on Saturday night. It will then go into Bangladesh while weakening further, and impact Tripura Sunday night to Monday morning.
Heavy downpours with thunderstorms are forecast over southern Gangetic West Bengal and the adjacent Odisha on Saturday, and Tripura and the adjacent states on Sunday. 80 to 250 mm of rainfall is possible, which may bring local flooding to southern Gangetic West Bengal and Tripura.
Gale winds of 140 kmph, gusting 170 kmph are possible along the coast of West Bengal. Downed trees, power outages, and damage to buildings can be expected.
Rough sea conditions will persist until Sunday in northern Bay of Bengal.

- Heavy rain and thunderstorms: Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
- Fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms: Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
- Scattered rain and thunderstorms: Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and southern Karnataka.
- Isolated rain and thunderstorms: Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Gujarat.
Dry weather is likely over Sikkim, Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, northern Karnataka, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh.
Sunday and Beyond
A fresh Western Disturbance will affect Jammu & Kashmir beyond Tuesday.
Persistent rainfall and thunderstorms are likely over Tamil Nadu and Kerala due to northeast monsoon during the next five days.
On Sunday, heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely over West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected over southern Karnataka. Isolated rain and thunderstorms are possible over Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Dry weather has been forecast over Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, northern Karnataka, Telangana, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh.
