Monday - Nationwide Forecast
Deep Depression Bulbul laid centred over Southeast Bangladesh and neighborhood at November 10, 11:30 pm IST, and was expected to weaken into a depression in the subsequent six hours while moving towards northeast India. Hence, scattered rain and thunderstorms are likely over northeast India on Monday.
A cyclonic circulation lays over Kerala. This system is expected to bring widespread rain and thunderstorms over Kerala and adjoining areas on Monday.
Fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms are also likely over Tamil Nadu, while scattered rain and thunderstorms have been forecast over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Tripura and Karnataka.
Isolated rain and thunderstorms are possible over Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim, West Bengal Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Scattered snowfall is likely over Jammu & Kashmir, while isolated snow is expected over Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
Dry weather is likely over Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa and Telangana.
Tuesday and Beyond
A fresh Western Disturbance will affect Jammu & Kashmir and adjoining area. This disturbance will gradually intensify and approach north India. Snow accumulation up to 50 cm has been forecast in some areas of Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh during the next five days. The peak will arrive by Friday, and linger until the weekend.
Cold northerly winds will prevail over the northern plains. Max temperatures will be lower than normal across Punjab and the adjoining areas.
On Tuesday, fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms are likely over Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected over Andhra Pradesh.
Isolated rain and thunderstorms are possible over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura, Sikkim, Karnataka and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Snow will mix in at the Himalayan region.
Scattered snow is likely over Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
Dry weather is expected over West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Konkan & Goa and Telangana.
