Here’s our latest weather outlook for India

5-Day Nationwide Weather Forecast

Southerly hot and humid air from the Bay of Bengal will cause heavy rainfall in many parts of northeast India.

Maximum temperatures will be quite high, mainly in the northwest, until Wednesday due to hot westerly winds blowing out of the high pressure area in the Arabian Sea.

Abnormal temperature rise (phenomena wherein both maximum and minimum temperatures are extremely higher than normal) in Trans Himalayas and the Western Himalayan region (also in Nepal) will last until Tuesday. In these areas, minimum temperatures will continue to be extremely high until at least early June.

A cyclonic circulation will be generated in Lakshadweep on Saturday. However, forecast confidence of subsequent cyclone development is very low at this time because both track and strength derived from major Numerical Weather Prediction models do not match each other.

2-Day Regional Forecast

Tuesday

Scattered thunderstorms are expected over northern parts of West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, along with Karnataka and Kerala.
