A soaring 46-storey tower featuring residential units, serviced apartments plus retail and commercial space has been slated for High Street, Penrith.

Recently lodged with Penrith City Council, the mammoth $110.5 million development is proposed to be built on vacant land at 614-632 High Street, opposite the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre.

The development application (DA), submitted by Urban Property Group, includes 318 residential units, 1500sqm of commercial and retail space and 348 parking spaces over five levels.

It comes hot on the heels of the approval of two residential towers containing 187 apartments as part of the ‘Penway Place’ project, which will be built on land neighbouring this proposed development.

Documents attached to the latest DA state the proposal aims to “deliver a high-quality development that will make a positive contribution to the emerging city skyline within the Penrith City Centre”.
