PORTLAND (WGME) -- The Maine CDC is reporting three new coronavirus outbreaks in Portland.
The largest is at the Portland Family Shelter where there are now more than a dozen cases.
"At the family shelter in Portland, there are a total of 15 cases that have just been detected. Maine CDC is working on each and every one of these situations,” Maine CDC Director Dr. Nirav Shah said.
There are smaller outbreaks at Birchwoods at Canco, which is an assisted living facility in Portland, and at a group home on Marshall Street.
The CDC also says the total number of cases at Cape Memory Care in Cape Elizabeth, which serves people living with Alzheimer’s or dementia, is 84.
