Driver charged in New Hampshire head-on crash

EXETER, NH (WGME) -- A driver is facing reckless conduct charges in New Hampshire after crashing into another vehicle head-on Saturday morning in Exeter, according to the New Hampshire State Police.

The crash happened around 7:15 a.m. along Route 27.

According to investigators, 21 year-old Nicholas Munonz crossed the center line and struck another car driver by a 45 year-old New Hampshire woman.

Munonz was arrested at the scene and was then transported to Exeter hospital to be treated for injuries, police said.

Officer said the passenger in Munonz's car, 22 year-old Albert Maldonado suffered serious injures in the crash and had to be transported by helicopter to a Boston hospital.

The woman in the car who was hit also suffered serious injuries.

Sections of Route 27 were closed for at least 4 hours Saturday as investigators reconstructed the crash.
