CHICAGO — Intense severe weather rolled through the Chicago area Monday afternoon, leaving widespread damage.

Several Tornado Warnings and Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were issued for the entire area.

Winds ranging from 60-85 mph moved across the area quickly. Over 5,000 ComEd customers across the state are without power as of 8:40 p.m.

WGN has received several reports of storm damage throughout the entire area. Several trees have been uprooted.
