MADISON, Ala. – Crews worked to free a federally protected hawk from power lines in Madison Tuesday afternoon.

Madison police said the hawk was found in power lines near a transformer on Highland Avenue.

Madison Animal Control, Madison police and Huntsville Utilities all responded to help the hawk get loose.
