If you're one of those people that like a good thunderstorm, you'll probably like the forecast for tonight. If you're a light sleeper and thunderstorms have a tendency to wake you up from your slumber (like me) well, there's a chance that you're not going to like the forecast for tonight.

The National Weather Service says that there's the risk for severe weather tonight for a big part of the lower peninsula which includes the Lansing area. The storms are expected to happen between 9 pm and 6 am on Wednesday. The National Weather Service says that the main threat from the storms tonight "appears to be strong winds in excess of 60 mph". There's also the potential for some large hail, locally heavy rain and lightning.

Keep in mind that the Lansing area is in the slight risk area. So, maybe they'll be like a lot of the other storms and hit Lake Michigan and then completely miss us.
