UPDATE: 2 arrested after shooting, police chase in Madison

MADISON (WKOW) — Police say they’ve arrested two teenagers after a report of shots fired led to a vehicle and foot chase.

Madison Police officers responded to the 6900 Block of Park Ridge Drive for a report of shots fired shortly before 12:45 p.m. Saturday.

According to an incident report, when officers arrived they found no individuals hurt or property damaged, but a casing was recovered and evidence was discovered by officers leading them to a suspected stolen white Audi that had left the area was connected to the shots fired.

Around 1:30 p.m. the Audi was seen on East Washington Avenue.

Police say officers started chasing the car soon after, when the occupants of the stolen vehicle escaped police.

Police say, after crashing into an MPD squad car, the two occupants ran away, leading to a short foot chase before the two suspects were arrested.

The incident report said both suspects were transported to a local hospital for treatment related to minor injuries and two Madison officers received treatment for minor injuries related to the crash and foot chase.

A 17-year-old and a 16-year-old female were taken into custody, facing charges of Eluding a Police Officer and Operating a Motor Vehicle without the Owners Consent. The 17-year-old will be charged as an adult.

MADISON (WKOW) — Madison Police were involved in a chase this afternoon around 2:00 p.m., which ended near Milwaukee Street and Fair Oaks Avenue in Madison.

The Madison Police said they had two people in custody and that police are on the scene.
