It's the fourth time in the last five years the company has had the honor of providing the official Easter egg for the White House.

Wooden Easter Eggs provided by Maine Wood Services will be featured in this year's egg roll at the White House, slated for Monday. According to News Center Maine, Maine Wood Services are known for Fletcher pepper mills. Thousands of kids will be on hand to roll hard-boiled eggs across the lawn at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. According to News Center Maine, The event was first started in 1898, but the tradition of the souvenir eggs began in 1981.

In an era where many mills have closed, Maine Wood Products continues to be innovative. This has been key for continuing to stay in business. From kitchen tools to custom moldings and wooden games pieces, they have found a niche. Jody Fletcher, Vice President of Maine Woods Products told News Center Maine "There were 25 mills like ours in the Northeast 20-25 years ago, now, there's three of us.”
