ORGANISERS of the Worcester Beer, Cider and Perry Festival have revealed the date for this year’s event and an exciting new competition.
The annual celebration to hail the ale will take once again place at Worcester Racecourse from August 8 to 10.
Worcester’s Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) will once again host the event which has been moved to fit around the racing calendar.
For the second year in succession, organisers are running a competition for someone to design a festival logo which this year must include a horse and have a space/moon theme to celebrate 50 years since the moon landing.
The winner of the competition will win free tickets to this year’s festival and drink vouchers for use at the festival.
There will also be two runners up prizes of festival tickets.
Creative city residents are asked to take into account the different formats that the logo will be used for ie posters, flyers, beer mats, T-shirts and glasses.
For most formats there are no colour limitations but the logo would need to be altered so that only one colour is used for the T-shirt version and up to six colours (black, grey, white and three others) used for the glass version.
Any changes required to fit the colour limitations would be carried out by the Worcester CAMRA festival. The logo can be drawn, painted or computer generated.
Anyone who would like to take part is asked to send their image to [email protected] by April 26.
