HELENA -WEST HELENA, Ark. — Authorities in Arkansas are searching for a man that may have gone into the Mississippi River overnight.

According to the Helena-West Helena Police Department officers were sent to the Helena Bridge between Phillips and Coahoma County after someone discovered a crashed vehicle around 12:30 a.m. The lights of the vehicle were still on and the driver’s door was open.

Authorities identified the driver as 28-year-old Damarea Tyler.

The police department, Shillips County Sheriff’s Department, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the Helena-West Helena Fire Department are searching the Mississippi River for Tyler.
