DETROIT (WWJ) - A group of people, including a 3-month-old baby, were taken to the hospital after being exposed to carbon monoxide on Detroit's west side.

First responders were called to the scene along West Grand Boulevard near I-96 around 2:40 a.m. Tuesday after the family reported they weren't feeling well.

All six people -- a 3-month-old girl, 3-year-old boy, 5-year-old girl, 30-year-old woman, 65-year-old woman and 73-year-old woman -- were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Officials say a defective furnace appears to be responsible for causing the carbon monoxide exposure, though an investigation is ongoing.

All six victims are expected to be OK.
