Motorcyclist in critical condition after southeast Lincoln crash
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A motorcyclist remained in critical condition Thursday morning following a crash in Southeast Lincoln.
According to the Lincoln Police Department, the 56-year-old rider hit a median and crashed his Harley Davidson bike near Eiger Drive and S. 84th Street, just north of Highway 2 Thursday around 9:20 p.m.
Police said witnesses were performing CPR on the man when first responders arrived on scene. The motorcyclist was then taken to the hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
According to witnesses, the man did not appear to be in a condition to drive when he got onto his bike and took off from a parking near 48th and Highway 2. Police said the witnesses followed him when the crash occurred.
LPD said alcohol was being investigated as a factor in the crash.
