One person was taken to the hospital after a car hit a house in south Lincoln Saturday morning.

It happened at about 10:40 a.m.

According to the LPD accident report, a witness told police the car was heading east on Normal Boulevard in the right lane when the vehicle started to swerve in its lane and hit the curb a few times. Suddenly, the car cut left across traffic, went over the median and through the intersection of 40th Street and Normal, and then went over the curb and hit a house before coming to a stop.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital.

In the report, medical staff said it appears the driver suffered from some sort of medical episode and passed out. The driver later said he didn't remember what had happened. He's expected to be okay.

The crash knocked some bricks off the house, and caused about $2,000 in damage, the report says.

Fortunately, nobody was injured.
