Services have been restored for those Spectrum customers in Lincoln that were temporarily without services Tuesday.

A spokesperson for Spectrum says a fiber optic cable was accidentally cut by a third-party road construction crew. Spectrum crews worked to restore service to those affected by the outage, and all customers were believed to have services restored by 8 p.m.

The company said services would be restored gradually for customers as individual fiber optic strands are repaired, and added, "we appreciate our customers' patience as we make the necessary repairs."

The outage mostly affects customers in the downtown Lincoln area, the Spectrum spokesperson said.
