OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Police Department is currently searching for a suspect near 57th and Fowler Streets. Yesterday, fugitive suspect Jamie Kennedy was chased to a north Omaha neighborhood where he abandoned a vehicle. Kennedy was not located.
UPDATE - Police were unable to locate the suspect and callled off the search just before 2 p.m.
UPDATE - 3 News Now Reporter Sydney Gray tells us that law enforcement are in the area with what appears to be guns drawn.

Multiple police, K9 units and a police helicopter are canvassing the area.

OPD has confirmed to us some schools in the area are on lockout due to the situation.
An OPD representative says the pursuit began at 42nd and Himebaugh.
