Trial scheduled for Springdale man accused of firing at law enforcement
A trial date was scheduled for a man accused of firing a gun at law enforcement.Luis Cobos-Cenobio’s trial was scheduled for October 29, 2019.In November 2018, Cobos-Cenobio was pulled over on the side of the road in Tontitown when he exited his vehicle and fired multiple rounds towards police officers, according to law enforcement.He then drove off from the scene, but police caught him in Springdale, where he also fired shots at law enforcement before finally surrendering, according to police. No officers were wounded, but Cobos-Cenobio was shot in the shoulder.Cobos-Cenobio was charged with five counts of attempted capital murder, fleeing, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.In January he pleaded not guilty to his charges.Cobos-Cenobio had previously been arrested in 2015 for drug possession.
