LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Several residencies, conferences, conventions, businesses, shows, private schools and events slated to take place in Las Vegas have been canceled or postponed due to coronavirus concerns. 8 News Now is keeping a list to ensure you are informed about the changes happening in the community.

The following is what we’ve seen canceled, postponed or closed, so far:

  • Absinthe: temporary hiatus

Late in February, President Trump postponed the ASEAN Summit that was scheduled for March 12 considering the coronavirus outbreak. A new date has yet to be set.

  • Las Vegas Lights says USL Championship is suspending play for 30 days
  • NHL pauses season; no Vegas Golden Knights practices/games
  • City National Arena: All youth leagues and programming postponed; including Learn-To-Skate, Learn-To-Play, ‘Lil Knights, Jr Golden Knights and JrVGK Spring Clinic Series
  • Special Olympics Nevada: canceling all upcoming competitions, practices, and Healthy Athletes events through June 30, 2020
  • Lee Canyon: closed for rest of the winter season
  • Las Vegas Aviators: minor league baseball follows MLB — postponed for now
  • Las Vegas Motor Speedway is postponing all Bullring events through April 30

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

  • The Neon Museum: closed for mandated 30 days
  • The Springs Preserve: closed until further notice
  • Grand Canyon West: temporarily suspending operations at Grand Canyon Skywalk and the company’s other tourism experiences as of March 18
  • The Mob Museum: closed until further notice
  • Library District branches: closed until further notice; online resources available
  • Topgolf Las Vegas: closed until further notice
  • Zac Bagans Haunted Museum: closed until further notice
  • Las Vegas Natural History Museum: temporarily closed
  • Marvel Avenger’s S.T.A.T.I.O.N. at Treasure Island: will be temporarily closed beginning March 17
  • Wet ‘n’ Wild: Opening has been delayed until Mary 21, 2020.

RESTAURANTS

  • Starbucks: shifting stores to “to-go” only
  • McDonald’s: closing company-owned seating areas and PlayPlaces; focusing on takeout, drive-thru or McDelivery
  • Chick-fil-A: closing dining room seating; focusing on drive-thru, takeout, delivery or mobile order options
  • Tivoli Village restaurants: offering pick up or delivery services
  • Treasure Island restaurants that are closed: Phil’s Italian Steak House, Seafood Shack, Gilley’s BBQ, Golden Circle, Room Service, Richie’s Subs, Pizzeria Francesco’s and Malena’s Yogurt Plus

RETAIL

  • Nordstrom: Closing all stores starting March 17 for two weeks
  • Bath and Body Works: Closing all stores until further notice
  • Macy’s: will temporarily close all stores through March 31 (this includes all Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Bluemercury, Macy’s Backstage, Bloomingdales the Outlet and Market by Macy’s stores)

  • RTC transit is experiencing service delays
  • Airlines – check with your airline for delays/cancellations

STATE AGENCIES

  • DMV is asking customers to use online services, kiosks and mail or fax whenever possible
  • The Nevada Department of Taxation: closure of all offices; advising taxpayers to submit payment online, via postage mail, or via drop box at one of their offices
  • Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD): will close its customer service lobby (1001 S. Valley View Blvd) beginning March 18 and until further notice
  • U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada: Clerk’s office is closed to the public

VISITATIONS

  • VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System: No outside visitors allowed to visit inpatients, the only exception is people receiving end-of-life care. Visitors will not be able to accompany veterns to outpatient appointments unless they are directly assisting a veteran. All elective surgeries, group sessions, classes are being canceled.
  • Las Vegas City Jail is suspending inmate visitation
  • Nellis AFB is only allowing mission-essential personnel and their families on base.

CHURCH GATHERINGS

  • Mormon Church temporarily suspends gatherings of church members worldwide
  • Diocese of Las Vegas suspends masses: through April 5

ST. PATRICK’S DAY EVENTS

  • Parade and Festival in Henderson (March 13-15): canceled
  • Celtic Feis at New York-New York Hotel & Casino (March 13-17): canceled
  • McMullan’s Irish Pub: closed on March 17

COUNTY/CITY NEW RULES AND CANCELLATIONS

Clark County:

**Almost all Clark County buildings will be closed to the public beginning Wednesday, March 18, until further notice. The County facilities that will remain open to the public will be McCarran International Airport, UMC of Southern Nevada, the courts and the County Marriage License Bureau. ** Southern Nevada Family Justice Center: Closed to the public. However the center will continue to serve victims by processing Temporary Protective Orders, victims of crime applications and providing legal aid with custody disputes and divorce filings.

** Nevada Eighth Judicial District modifies family court services

  • The Family Law Self-Help Center: Will stop providing in-person services to the public, starting March 16. Services will be provided through email and telephone.
  • The Family Mediation Center: Will stop providing in-person mediation services, starting March 16. Mediations will be conducted via telephone or other means.
  • Donna’s House Central: Stop providing all supervised visitation services and program orientations, starting March 16. DHC refers each supervised visitation case back to designated judicial department for further orders/instructions. DHC, Marshals Division and Family Mediation Center will work together to ensure efficient and safe supervised child custody exchanges.
  • Court Appointed Special Advocate Program: Will stop all in-person trainings, orientations and other meetings with members of the public, starting March 16.

**Clark County District Court will suspend jury trials for the next 30 days.

**All Clark County meetings including County Commission, Planning Commission and advisory committee meetings are canceled through the end of March.

The following programs are canceled until further notice out of an abundance of caution to help reduce the possibility of community spread of the virus:

  • Beginning Monday, March 16, scheduled programs, field trips and activities at the Cora Coleman and West Flamingo senior centers and multigenerational facilities offering programming for seniors are cancelled. While these facilities will remain open at this time, scheduled programming for seniors is being suspended due to health professional guidance that people age 60 and older are at increased risk for contracting coronavirus and are advised to limit interactions. Additional facilities offering senior programming that is cancelled include: Cambridge Recreation Center, Indian Springs Community Center, Goodsprings Recreation Center, Mountain Crest Community Center, Moapa Valley Community Center, Paradise Recreation Center, Parkdale Recreation and Senior Center, Dr. William U. Pearson Community Center, Sandy Valley Community Center, Searchlight Community Center, Spirit Mountain Activity Center, Slim Kidwell Community Center in Cal Nev Ari, Walnut Recreation Center, Whitney Recreation and Senior Center, Winchester Dondero Cultural Center.   • All Parks and Recreation Department events with expected attendance of more than 250 people including Eggstravaganza at Whitney Park on April 10 and other Easter and spring holiday events.
  • All rental agreements for events with expected attendance of more than 250 including those at Horseman’s Park, Tacos and Tamales at Desert Breeze Park on March 28, and Jazz in the Park at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater, on May 9, 23, 16, 30 and June 6.
  • The Clark County Fair in Logandale, Nev., April 8-12: canceled
  • Sport Tournaments/events that meet the 250 attendance threshold
  • Spring Corporate Challenge events: canceled
  • Clark County Library District is closed starting March 16 (Customers are asked to not return materials at this time. No late fees will be charged)
  • Clark County Parks and Recreation facilities: closed until further notice

Henderson:

The cancellation includes all public events that are scheduled to take place at the Henderson Pavilion, on Water Street and at the Henderson Events Plaza. Pavilion event ticket holders will receive refunds and will not incur cancellation fees. Below is a list of canceled events:

North Las Vegas:

The city of North Las Vegas is suspending all recreational sports leagues and classes and is closing recreational centers and libraries. Below is a list of impacted facilities:

  • Neighborhood Recreation Center
  • Sil.ver Mesa Recreation Center
  • SMRC Senior Center
  • Skyview Multi-Generational Center
  • North Las Vegas City Hall Library
  • Aliante Library
  • Alexander Library

Boulder City:

  • All city buildings are closed to the public through April 1 (that date could change)
  • City employees must still report to work
  • The Emergency Operations Center and trash pickup will continue
  • All special events in city parks and city facilities are cancelled, including weddings through April 16
  • Parks will remain open for families to use
  • Nevada DMV services at the police dept. are suspended
  • Closures also impact: golf courses, aquatic center, safe key, Tiny Tots, arts center, fitness center and youth and adult programs.
