It’s been two years since medical marijuana became legal here, but is Pennsylvania ready to legalize recreational pot?

The immediate answer is no, but dozens of supporters are hoping to change a lot of minds. They came to the Capitol Rotunda on Monday to rally support for legal marijuana in Pennsylvania.

Auditor General Eugene DePasquale says legal pot could rake in nearly $600 million a year in new tax revenue.

John Fetterman, the Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor, sees a bigger reason to support it.

“I believe the greatest emphasis should be placed on fixing an unjust system that vastly, disproportionately punished people of color in communities of color,” Fetterman said.

Gov. Tom Wolf signed medical marijuana into law but doesn’t think Pennsylvania is ready to legalize recreational pot.
