The City of Harrisburg and community groups broke ground Monday on a new $8.6 million senior housing development.

Paxton Place will be an affordable senior rental housing development with 37 apartments, along with additional amenities.

The project is funded by a federal low-income housing tax credit, Mid Penn Bank, Paxton Ministries, Pinnacle Health, and many other community agencies.

Construction is set to be completed in fall 2019.
