HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A shooting in the 1600-block of Hunter Street left two victims in the hospital on Monday.

Police said they first found the vicitm when they responded to a shots-fired call in the area right before 6 p.m.

“He was taken to an area hospital. Through the investigation, we learned there may be a second victim that showed up to another hospital,” said Sgt. Tyron Meik, K9 Unit, Harrisburg Police Department.

Police said a nearby home and vehicle were also hit by gunfire.

They combed through the neighborhood, expanding the crime scene while our crew was on scene, setting out at least 20 evidence markers on the ground.

A short time later, a second victim arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound.

Police say both victims are in stable condition.

“Obviously we’re looking for the public to assist us on this and give us any information that they can. So, if they do know something, we’re asking for them to come forward and help us,” Sgt. Meik said.

No suspects have been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
