Salt Lake City, Utah- (ABC4 News) – After a years-long battle, Medicaid expansion will soon happen in Utah.

On Monday, the legislature gave final approval on SB96 to replace Proposition 3. A few hours later, Governor Gary Herbert signed it into law.

The first step is a partial expansion up to 100 percent of the federal poverty level on April 1, 2019.
