SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – Salt Lake City Police detectives investigated a shooting Thursday morning after a man showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound.

According to Salt Lake City Police Detective Ruff, the man told hospital staff he had been shot.

Police believe the incident happened four hours earlier around 2:30 Thursday morning in the parking lot of K&K African Market at 950 South Redwood Road.

Detective Ruff told ABC4 News that the victim’s wounds were not life threatening and the victim was in stable condition.

He also asked for the public’s help in finding the shooter or shooters.

“If anybody did see something or hear something that was out on about 950 South Redwood Road around 2 or 3 o’clock this morning, please call us 801-799-3000,” he sasid. “We would love to get that information so we can try to sort through what happened there.”
