Fun times in Anchorage this week: Crustfest pizza festival, Grieves and Improvised Shakespeare Company

Crustfest — Sample pizza from the state’s best pizzerias, enjoy beers from local breweries and play games. Ten sample pizza slices are included with adult admission. An optional donation of $10 to the Food Bank of Alaska allows five more sample slices. There will be two sessions: The first is for all ages, with games and activities for kids, a beer garden area and live music from Nothin’ But Trouble and Queen Solomon. Session two is for ages 21 and older, ‍with live music from Black Water Railroad and The Jangle Bees. Grieves — The Mr. Nice Guy tour is coming to Williwaw. Indie hip-hop artist Grieves is known for his No. 1 Billboard Heatseekers album “Together/Apart.” His new EP “The Collections of Mr. Nice Guy” released this summer. $20-$80. 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Friday, 609 F St. (williwawsocial.com)

The Improvised Shakespeare Company — The troupe takes a suggested play title from the audience, and then improvises a two-act Shakespearean story with musical interludes. Each performance is both a world premiere and a closing night. Felix Mendelssohn’s Elijah — The story of the Old Testament biblical prophet charged with bringing Israel back is brought to life by Mendelssohn’s oratorio. Sketches of Spain — Armin Abdihodzic will celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with a tour of Spanish guitar music. He will perform iconic pieces by artists such as Tarrega, Albeniz, Granados and Llobet. The Killer Dueling Pianos — The one-of-a-kind piano experience returns to Koot’s with a new set of songs and old favorites. The Killer Dueling Pianos is a nationally touring event in town for two days only. $35. 6:30 p.m. Thursday, 2435 Spenard Rd. (koots.com)

Say No 2 Rape Culture Edutainment Nite — MoHagani Magnetek is holding a slam poetry contest with a $300 prize in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. All poems entered must incorporate the phrase “say no to rape culture” or “#MeToo” into their performance. Those interested in competing should sign up before 6:45 p.m. Friday.
