North Georgia won’t get a break from the heat this weekend.
While a pop-up shower or two is possible Sunday afternoon, Atlanta’s streak of 90-plus degree days is only expected to continue.
With today's temps now above 95°F in Atlanta, we are now at 8 days straight with temps of 95°F or higher. This is tied for the 8th longest streak on record! The weekend forecast stays in the mid 90s, so we could look to extend our streak before a cool down early next week. #gawx pic.twitter.com/ZEHLyWKruW

Right now it is 89 degrees in Atlanta with scattered clouds, but with humidity it feels like 94 degrees.

If you’re sensitive to pollution, it isn’t a bad idea to limit your time outside today as the metro area is under a Code Orange Air Quality Alert, Deon said.
