An Alabama cornerback who was medically disqualified by the team last year is now set to return to football.

But he won’t be doing it for the Crimson Tide.

Nigel Knott confirmed Monday morning that he plans to enter the transfer portal.

AL.com had reported over the weekend that Knott was planning on resuming his football career and that he would be entering the transfer portal at some point in the near future.

The former four-star recruit was a second-team cornerback for Alabama last spring before being medically disqualified during the summer because of an undisclosed medical situation.
