Brasfield & Gorrie North Carolina project reaches milestone

Brasfield & Gorrie project

This Charlotte, N.C. medical office building complex is slated for completion in 2020.

Work continues on a Brasfield & Gorrie project in Charlotte, N.C. slated for completion in the third quarter of next year.

The Birmingham contractor, along with Atrium Health, Pappas Properties and The Beck Group recently celebrated the topping out of a Pappas Properties medical office building.

The project calls for a pair of Atrium Health medical office buildings and a nine-level parking deck.

The first of the buildings is a 200,000-square-foot structure built on top of two levels of cast-in-place parking. The five-story facility will become Atrium Health’s Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute – Kenilworth location. It will house a cardiac rehabilitation suite, state-of-the-art imaging capabilities and sub-specialty cardiovascular services.

There will also be a nine-story, 1,400-plus-space precast parking deck. The deck and medical office building will be connected by a four-level pedestrian bridge.
