A local group of investors paid $400,000 for 40 acres on Baldwin County 32 in Summerdale, west of the Baldwin Beach Express, according to Sharon Wright of White-Spunner Realty. The buyers have not announced plans for the property.
Conn’s Home Plus has leased 46,400 square feet of space in Springdale mall off Airport Boulevard in Mobile, and 47,000 square feet in University Town Center on University Parkway in Pensacola, Fl., according to Buff Teague of JLL, who handles leasing for Springdale. Teague represented the tenant in the Pensacola transaction. Conn’s is a furniture, mattress, electronics and appliance store chain headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas.
Yummi Crab has leased a 6,252-square-foot restaurant building at 840 Montlimar Drive in Mobile, and plans to open next spring, according to Leigh Dale Younce of JLL, who represented the landlord. Yummi Crab will feature Cajun-style seafood. The site was formerly occupied by The Melting Pot.
