It was a busy night in high school football stadiums across the state Thursday, as more than 100 games were played as teams tried to avoid Friday’s rainy forecast.
Saraland knocked off Blount in a Class 6A, Region showdown, James Clemens clinched its second straight outright 7A, Region 4 title, and Daphne beat St. Paul’s 53-42 in one of the season’s most entertaining games.
Oh, and Tuscaloosa County’s Damien Taylor ran for 375 yards and five touchdowns in a victory over Spain Park.
