A 55-year-old man was found dead in Birmingham’s Pratt City community Friday afternoon, Birmingham police said.
About 5:13 p.m., west precinct officers responded to the 500 block of Avenue T on a report of an unconscious male, said Sgt. Johnny Williams. The victim, 55-year-old Rodney Hilleary, was found unresponsive on the floor, police said.
Hilleary was pronounced dead on the scene by the Jefferson County Coroner, police said.
Williams said police do not have a suspect in custody. Further details about the investigation were not immediately available.
