Murder warrants have been issued against an east Alabama man in connection with the weekend slayings of his brother and twin sister in Macon County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency on Tuesday announced the formal warrants against 48-year-old Aaron Flynn Gess, previously identified as a person of interest. Authorities have said he has a history of mental illness and “has made threats to resist any type of apprehension.”

Macon County Coroner Hal Bentley said William Gess, Jr., 60, and Sharon Gess, 48, a brother and sister, were found dead in their a Notasulga home. The two were discovered at approximately 1:40 p.m. There is no word yet on the cause of death.
