Almost 50 percent of Alabama’s new coronavirus cases come from 3 counties.
Alabama Department of Public Health’s May 25 9:30 a.m. numbers show 14,478 COVID-19 cases have been diagnosed in Alabama, an increase of 326 from yesterday. The state has 551 coronavirus deaths.
Three of Alabama’s 67 counties – Jefferson, Mobile and Montgomery – accounted for just under 50% of all new cases. Jefferson County added 38 cases; Mobile added 77; and Montgomery added 41. Four other counties, Colbert (+11); Franklin (+16); Lee (+11); and Tuscaloosa (+25) also posted double-digit increases.
